Hotly tipped Baltimore band Ponytail play Whelan’s next Wednesday, September 10th and I have two double passes for the gig to give away. To be in with a chance to win one, just answer the following question:

Which much raved-about TV show starring Dominic West is set in Ponytail’s hometown of Baltimore?

Leave your answer in the comments (or by email to musicalroomsATgmailDOTcom) and winners will be chosen by 5pm next Tuesday, September 9th.

Update: Congrats to Tenacious Timothy and Darren aka I Love Hoovering. Enjoy the gig – drop back here and let me know what you thought of them.

  1. Hmm wouldn’t happen to be The Wire?? Criminally haven’t watched it yet…have been to Baltimore far too many times and still reeling from the shock to watch a show on it! There is something definitely toxic in Baltimores water supply to give us so many unusual but great groups…pic above is proof;-)

  2. Tim, you have to watch it – best TV ever!

These guys (Ponytail) also rock. Should be a great gig.

  4. hi Sinead. i missed the first band but got there in time to catch The Vinny Club arriving on stage dressed as the Ultimate Warrior. he didn’t disappoint and i’ll be buying the album soon. I enjoyed R.S.A.G again (I’d just seen him the night before supporting The Fall!). I left after a few Ponytail songs. It wasn’t that they were bad or anything but I was tired and just not that into it. Thanks for the tickets anyway! It was good to finally catch the Vinny Club after hearing a lot about him.
